Vision and Values

Our Vision is to…“Learn with love, flourish in faith.”

To embrace excellence for all through God, building a better world together.

To work together to embrace excellence for all. To nurture the heart; the spirit and the mind; so that children and adults flourish as individuals and are empowered to make a positive difference for each other; their families; our community and the world.

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul with all your mind and with all your strength’ and ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’  Our vision to learn with love and flourish in faith comes from the greatest commandments given by Jesus: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul with all your mind and with all your srength’ and ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ So each day we live out these commandments through our values of love, respect, forgiveness and integrity.  We learn to love ourselves, each other, our community and our world and learn to grow as active, healthy and engaged citizens.

Our school is a very happy and unique small school providing Nursery places and wrap around care for children from 3 – 11. Barton Church of England Primary School and Ravensworth Church of England Primary School work in close collaboration under the leadership of one Executive Headteacher and Local Governing Board whilst ensuring that the individual identities of each school are cherished.  School Leaders work together to provide an exceptional curriculum and enrichment opportunities and we believe that every child should be encouraged to achieve the highest standards possible, in an atmosphere where all success, great or small, is properly celebrated.

Our children love school and have the confidence to grow in responsibility and independence and leave us as flourishing citizens, equipped for a journey of lifelong learning.

We hope you come and visit us and we look forward to welcoming you into our Barton family.
