Our Preschool

Our fabulous preschool is an integral part of Barton Church of England Primary School, our small school with a big heart. it is a friendly, caring and social environment in which the children can mix with Reception and Year 1 in our dedicated indoor and outdoor learning space.

This free-flow environment is led by a qualified teacher in a real school setting. This allows our preschool children to get a gentle introduction to the curriculum incorporated into every day:

• Phonics through song, rhyme, sounds and noises
• Counting, recognising numbers and patterns
• Story time

Preschool day

• 9am                 Start
• 9-10.15am      Indoor free flow learning
• 10am               Help yourself snack time
• 10.15am          Outdoor learning
• 11.15am           Phonics and story time
• 12noon            Lunchtime
• 1-3:30pm        Indoor/ Outdoor learning
